The IVCC Women's Basketball Team has already doubled their win total from last season, and they are only 6 games in.  Over the past 2 years, the Eagles have experinced many obstacles in their program.  Their 2023-2024 season was cancelled because of a coaching change and lack of recruiting to fill a team.  With a new coach in place, a team was set to compete for the 2024-2025 season, but 2 season ending injuries to 2 players within the first 2 games hindered their numbers and ability to compete.  This year, Coach Marc Lowe has strong numbers and talented players that are committed to put the team back on track.  The team has 2 returning sophomores in Jasmine Garman and Sarah Johnson, that have been joined by 6 new players including Ava Hattan, Ella Derosett, Ashlyn Ehm, Quinn McClain, Jenna Setchell, and Leah Krohe.  All of the players have contributed to this year's success and hope to continue their winning ways.  In addition to new players, the team has had a familiar face return to the program.  Assistant Coach Rex Shanyfelt joined the coaching staff this fall after spending time at multiple other community colleges.  At this time, the team has a 4-2 record as they enter into December, which includes seven games before winter break.
